Human Rights Minister Dr. Salah bin Ali Abdulrahman met Arab with ambassadors and permanent representatives to the Human Rights Council in Geneva, on the sidelines of his official participation in the council’s meeting.
He stressed that the Arab nation is facing a major challenge in this phase which requires boosting values of cooperation, solidarity and joint action.
He informed the ambassadors about Bahrain’s reply concerning the Human Rights Council’s recommendations in its previous meeting last May. He also briefed them about the recommendations carried out so far before officially approving them by the council on September 19.
He also requested the ambassadors’ support to Bahrain’s candidate for the council’s consultative committee and child committee.
The audience expressed backing of the kingdom’s wish as well as its legal and political steps on the reform path.
Dr. Salah thanked the ambassadors and delegates for their support to Bahrain.
