The IAA President Shaikh Fawaz Bin Mohammed Al Khalifa on the sidelines of the opening the International Broadcasting Exhibition and Conference in Amsterdam (IBC 2012) signed an agreement of purchasing three OB vans, for the external transmission equipped with the latest technology, with the Turkish Pal Electronics.
The agreement is considered a step forward contributing in the coverage of the different occasions, exhibitions and events witnessed by Kingdom of Bahrain. The three new cars had advanced technology meeting the channels in the region.
Amsterdam Exhibition and Conference was considered the largest international gathering attended by the manufacturers and officials of Tele-satellite transmission, where the latest satellite technology was presented, in addition to hosting a number of seminars and lectures on the industry.
Shaikh Fawaz said that coping with the media strategy the authority had inaugurated, which included increasing the media efficiency on the technical and human levels, the authority was keen to provide the latest broadcast and photographing through sophisticated cars, which were prepared for external transmission to cope with the amount of direct coverage witnessed by the Kingdom.
Shaikh Fawaz highlighted that the Kingdom of Bahrain enjoyed a great prestige in the region to host conferences, exhibitions and festivals, particularly Bahrain would host the GCC Summit, and the events of the GCC Football Cup. He also pointed out that the authority was keen to highlight the civilized and bright side of Bahrain, and its development achievements accomplished in all areas and domains under the prosperous era of the wise leadership.
Shaikh Fawaz stressed that the move was also after the Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) announced the technology of (LTE) in Bahrain, to bid on the same frequencies of the Information Affairs Authority, for the communications and cell-phones companies, which would badly affect the performance of the authority and its activities.
Shaikh Fawaz also reinforced that the Information Affairs authority was proceeding in its plans and programmes to provide distinguished media services for Bahrain Satellite TV channels viewers, through the latest means of technology, to cope with what the world was witnessing today of accelerated media revolution.
After the mentioned tender of purchasing the three cars for transmission, the total cars of the IAA would be 4, after the authority was depending on only one car to achieve its coverage of all the different events and occasions.
