Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Fakhro held talks with number of businessmen and investor’s representatives of major Japanese companies and members of Japan Cooperation Center for the Middle East (JCCME) spearheaded by Japanese Ambassador Shigeki Sumi and Commercial Attaché Hiroyuki Mitsui in the presence of Vice president of Bahrain-Japan Friendship Society Nasser Al Orrayedh.
The Minister welcomed the delegation, stressing the importance of such visits and meetings involve fostering closer relations and economic exchange between the two countries, expressing in this context leadership and government tribute on every efforts can contribute to strengthening mutual relations and achieve the desired results of the visit of His Majesty the King to Japan. Dr. Fakhro also praised the efforts made by leadership and government of both countries in enhancing economic cooperation mechanisms between them. Dr. Fakhro also praised the role played by Japan in technology field which serves many sectors especially industrial.
The Minister also touched Japan advanced experiences in many areas especially industrial ones, for example sophisticated systems that involve in information technologies, which will be reflected on the Kingdom especially in the investment sectors.
Dr. Fakhro noted to the efforts of Bahrain-Japan Friendship Society in strengthening economic, cultural and social foundation between the kingdom and Japan, confirming the significant role that could be played by such institutions in enhancing economic and cultural exchange among countries of the world. The minister noted government and Ministry support to all steps that benefit nation and citizens in both countries.
The delegation thanks and appreciates government and the ministry for all efforts made in order to establish economic cooperation between Bahrain and Japan.
The meeting was attended Acting Undersecretary of Commerce Affairs Ahmed Bubshait, Acting Undersecretary of Industry Affairs Mr. Osama Al Orrayedh and Acting Assistant Undersecretary of foreign trade Eman Al Dossari.
