The Speaker of the Council of Representatives called on the ambassadors of western countries to clearly declare their stances concerning the acts of vandalism, sabotage and targeting the trade sector by the chaotic rallies organized by Al Wefaq Society now and then.
He also said that those chaotic rallies harm the national economy, disrupt the recruitment plans waste the opportunity to provide job posts for the Bahraini citizens, and also hinder the investment process, and hamper the investors and capitals.
Al Dhahrani also said that those chaotic rallies disturb transportation through blocking the roads, creating traffic jams, terrorizing citizens and residents, as well as crippling their interests and threatening their security in their residential areas, and vital and main roads.
Al Dhahrani added that the saboteurs believe that their subversive acts, violating the law, and targetting the commercial sector were blessed and accepted from the ambassadors of the friendly countries, for they considered those acts were freedom of expression and democratic practices. Whereas, their slogans didn’t reflect the realty and truth, for they were hiding behind the mantle of “peaceful and human rights.”
Al Dhahrani said that those saboteurs knew that their slogans were false and well-known by everyone including terrorism acts and violating the law.
Al Dhahrani showed surprise at the policy of silence practiced by the foreign ambassadors except for defending the convicted terrorists and those governed by the provisions of an independent judiciary, which was not accepted by any state or community that had full sovereignty, respect and independence.
Al Dhahrani highlighted the role of ambassadors in any country, which should consolidate the relations between the countries without compromising its security and stability, with respect for the laws and institutions.
He also said that the silence of the western ambassadors when facing the violence, outlaw and harming the economy was not accepted by the Council of Representatives. He said that the silence contributed in passing a wrong message to the saboteurs, and instigators, that acts of violence, sabotage and terrorism had a tacit approval of those countries that always stressed on the application of laws and actions that preserve security and stability.
Al Dhahrani urged the executive authority to apply the law of rallies and gatherings which were issued by the Legislative Council reflecting the elected public will, in order to preserve security and safety of everyone. He pointed out that the national consensus dialogue which was attended by all the components of the Bahraini society recommended within its views to prevent demonstrations and rallies in the capital, as it was a vital economic area.
Al Dhahrani also said that those vandals didn’t want dialogue or seek reform or stability, but they were proceeding in causing more losses to the homeland, being outlaw, threaten the national unity and social fabric. They also sought weakening state institutions and disable all efforts towards building a prosperous future for the country based on freedom, justice and harmony, without exclusion or discrimination, violence, or vandalism.
