In line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Dr. Juma Al Kaabi distributed financial funds to those affected by the fire that engulfed the Isa Town market.
During a ceremony held at the Central Government’s Municipal Council, in the presence of MP Adnan Al Maliki, the Central Municipal Council’s Chairman Abdulrazzaq Al Hattab and the Ministry’s Undersecretary for Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Dr. Nabil Abu Al Fateh, Dr. Ka’abi distributed funds to 50 affected stall owners, out of the 300 ones who finalised the required procedures.
The Number of affected retail stalls or outlets reached 602 and funds have been dispensed to 300 so far, while the disbursement of funds for the rest after the examination process of the supporting documents is completed.
Dr. Ka’abi expressed pride in distributing financial aid to victims of the fire, upon directives from HRH Premier, pledging that the rest will receive their funds in the coming period.
Dr. Al kaabi extended sincere thanks to HRH Premier for his constant support and follow-up, praising the efforts of the members committee in charge of the funds for their hard work and cooperation.
He also said that that work has already started to allocate alternative stalls, adding that the new-look market will be ready within six months.
