The Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa affirmed that there was no one above the law and that the law should be implemented on all and in a correct way. Shaikh Khalid said that the law and the articles of the constitution preserves for the citizens the right to express their opinion and rally in accordance to the regulations stipulated without the violation of public interest of the country and security of citizens.
The Foreign Minister indicated the agreement of stances of the government and the people against what Al Wefaq society related to rallies that causes the disruption of citizens’ interest and destabilizing of security and terrorism them along with the crippling of the vital economic progress in the kingdom. The minister stated that all such actions have been document in statements issued by the Representative council, ministry of interior, ministry of justice and Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs called upon stopping the utilizing of some political bodies the incidents in impacting relations of the Kingdom of Bahrain with some neighboring countries that it respects as long it commits to principles of good neighboring and avoid interfering in the countries internal affairs. He also emphasized affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain insists on continue on the principle of dialogue to bring together view points and reaching solutions that would push forward the wheels of progress for the interest of the kingdom. The foreign Minister was speaking during his meeting on Friday with ambassadors from Arab and foreign countries to highlight what had happened September 7, 2012 related to violations in authorized rallies organised by Al Wefaq society in the heart of the capital, Manama.
He also indicated the importance practicing democracy to secure rights and the importance of protecting it from those who try to exploit inciting vandalism and terrorism on the interest of individuals and the community and the right of the country to provide security for all.
