HRH was speaking as he received on Sunday senior officials, in the presence of Representatives Council Speaker Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Dhahrani, Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh and MPs.
HRH underscored cohesion, security and stability as a prerequisite for growth in the next phase, pledging zero tolerance of any attempt to impede development by shaking them up.
HRH said the government is always keen to evaluate its services and programmes in order to optimise them amid challenges posed by regional and global economic developments.
He also pointed out that diversifying importation sources and finding new ones to ensure food security is a necessity.
HRH called on the private sector to take part in this regard, stressing the need to work towards ensuring GCC food security and rendering food industry one of the GCC main economic tributaries.
