Advisor of HM the King for Media Affairs and the Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD)’s chairman of the board of trustees, Nabil bin Yacoub Al-Hamer, chaired a regular meeting of the board of trustees at the BIPA headquarters in Umm Al-Hassam in which he revealed that the Institute was ushering into a new phase of implementation of comprehensive programmes which its provides to the various segments of the Bahraini community, and aims to further develop political awareness in compliance with the provisions of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Constitution and in line with the principles of the National Action Charter.
The board of trustees’ meeting was attended by the Executive Director and all members of the BIPD’s board of trustees.
Al-Hamer asserted that ongoing political in the Kingdom of Bahrain emanate from the reformation scheme initiated by HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, which necessitates for the Bahrain Institute for Political Development to increase citizens’ political awareness in order to keep abreast of transformations particularly the recent constitutional amendments.
Al-Hamer also informed the meeting about the implementation of National Consensus Dialogue views which the honorable Government tasked the BIPD to implement. In this aspect, he cited the joint program between the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) and the Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) which continues until the end of the year 2014 until the time of municipal and parliamentary elections.
Al-Hamer praised the efforts of the executive management and their role in implementing public policies monitored by the BIPD’s board of trustees. He looked forward to beginning of the next year (2013) which affirmed it will be teeming with performance and accomplishments of plans and strategies approved by ordinary meeting of the BIPD’s board of trustees.
