GCC strides are the outcome of the wisdom of its leaders, the work of its governments and determination of its peoples to bring about progress and development, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman said, adding that GCC achievements in all fields exceed those of big countries, which, he affirmed, requires all sides to join ranks and preserve those accomplishments so as to thwart attempts to target GCC states and destabilize them .
“The GCC union is one way of safeguarding our countries’ achievements and increasing them,” HRH Premier explained.
This came as HRH Prime Minister received at his court today GCC Education Ministers who are taking part in the 22nd General Conference of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States (ABEGS), currently held here.
During the audience, HRH Premier stressed that GCC countries have become beacons of science and knowledge thanks to the fertile learning environment they have provided for their peoples, which, he said, is not available in leading countries, calling upon education officials to develop educational curricular that can confront the attempts to harm joint GCC achievements and deal with common challenges facing the region.
HRH Premier also highlighted the importance of enhancing GCC cooperation in the field of curricula development so as to improve the output of university education in order to support development policies, calling for the need to bolster educational cooperation between GCC states, given that science is best way to bring about development and ensure a more prosperous future.
HRH Premier also stressed that foreign interference in the domestic affairs of GCC countries must stop, which, he asserted, can be achieved through unifying stances, expressing confidence that the next GCC Summit will come up with resolutions and recommendations that deter foreign meddling, safeguard landmark achievements and pave the way for more accomplishments within a stable and secure atmosphere.
On their part, GCC Education Minister expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH Premier for his sound directives regarding upgrading joint GCC action in all fields, especially the educational one, praising the facilities provided by the government to ensure the success of their conference.
