Information Affairs Authority President Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa affirmed IAA resolve to promote human resources, enhance employees’ professional and creative competence and keep them abreast of media strides.
“This is the cornerstone of the IAA development plans and programmes to empower official mainstream media to compete efficiently in addressing national issues”, he said.
He was speaking at the end of two training courses which started on September 23 and concluded on October4.
French Ambassador to Bahrain French Christian Testot also attended the final ceremony.
Fourteen IAA employees took part in the two-week training courses which focused on radio programme preparation and voice technicalities.
Shaikh Fawaz expressed thanks the French Embassy in Manama for its cooperation with the IAA over the last two years in organizing numerous specialized radio and TV training courses-thus reflecting strong historic relations bonding Bahrain and France.
He hailed the efforts of France Inter training Chief Fadi Matar for conducting the two courses.
French Ambassador Christian Testot also thanked the IAA Chief for his invitation to attend the final ceremony, welcoming efforts to promote media cooperation through exchanging expertise and holding further training courses.
Huda Darwish addressed the ceremony on behalf of the participants, thanking the IAA chief for his drive to promote national media cadres in cooperation with leading international media institutions.
Bahrain Sport Channel programme presenter Mohammed Abda also lauded the efforts of France Inter training Chief Fadi Matar for conducting the two-week courses, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise.
IAA President Shaikh Fawaz then presented the French Ambassador and the lecturer with two commemorative gifts.
He also distributed certificates to the participants, hailing their dedication and positive response.
