Under the Patronage of His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and in cooperation with the National Society for the Support of Education and Training, the Organising Committee of Career Expo 2012 continues its efforts to hold the expo as scheduled, from 06 to November 08 2012, at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre.
Organising Committee Chairman Engineer Abdul Ellah Al Qassimi said a number of national companies and organisations confirmed their participation in the exhibition, including Tamkeen, which participates as a strategic partner; AlAhlia University as Gold Sponsor, Y.K. AlMoayyed & Sons Group and the Gulf Aviation Academy participating as a silver sponsor; and the Arab Ship Repair Yard (ASRY), the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Co (GPIC), and Sabre Travel Network Middle East, participating as bronze sponsors.
He said other companies and organisations, including national universities, expressed interest in participating and supporting the fair.
Career Expo is an educational, academic, and professional annual event that will be held for the 10th year running. The fair is extremely popular among many youth groups such as school and university students and job seekers. The idea is to offer these students and job seekers information about rewarding jobs available in the labour market and the required qualifications for them and give them advice on how and where to get prepared for these jobs.
The exhibition also creates an important platform for networking among individuals and specialists in a number of economic, financial, academic, professional, and service sectors, enabling them to meet, exchange ideas, share experiences, and establish all sorts of communication that help their companies and organisations develop and grow financially and professionally in the labour market.
Tamkeen is participating in the fair as part of its efforts to develop Bahraini human capital and public sector enterprises as well as making Bahrainis the employees of choice. During the fair, Tamkeen will shed light on its relevant programmes, which exceed 100, among them is the Professional Certification scheme (E7tref), which offers financial support to obtain certification in various fields, the Employment Support scheme, which seeks to fill vacant jobs with qualified Bahrainis while subsidising their salaries, in addition to the Skills Gap initiative among others.
