Two Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC)employees accused of embezzlement and forging documents have been taken in custody pending investigation.
The Public Prosecution launched an inquiry following a complaint lodged against the suspects by the BOC chief executive officer.
The two employees are being accused of financial fraudulence, abusing their positions to misappropriate (BOC) funds, forge offers and attribute them to fictive companies.
“The Public Prosecution heard twenty-four witnesses, including BOC and others from outside the committee”, prosecutor Ahmed Bucheeri said.
The Public Prosecution ordered a forgery expert to examine the falsified documents and submit a comprehensive report for legal procedures.
