The Public Prosecutor ordered a prompt investigation into the incident. After interrogating the lawyer and confronting her with evidences, including a videotaped footage in which she thanked the prosecutor for quickly responding to her requests, she said that she did not mean to offend the Public Prosecution, to which she shows every respect and that she simply repeated what the suspect had told her and that she should have ascertained of his claims instead of taking them for granted.
The Public Prosecution accused the lawyer of defamation of two of its members and offending a judicial power. It decided to release her pending trial.
