Bapco achieved eight million man-hours without a lost time injury LTI. This is the fourth safety milestone achieved by the employees of Bapco and contractors this year. A ceremony was held in Bapco to celebrate the achievement. The party was attended by senior officials of Bapco and contractors. This safety milestone was achieved in 345 working safe days since 22nd November 2011.
“An achievement of this kind is only possible through dedication & commitment towards EHS principles and the reward is all of us going home every day safe to our beloved families,” commenting on this occasion, Bapco’s General Manager Marketing and Acting Chairman of Environment, Health and Safety EHS Committee Khalid Ebrahim Al-Sabbagh said.
“We should not be complacent but continue adhering to the basic principles of health and safety in order that we continue to work safely day after day. Bapco’s tools of safety which include “OSOOL, BOOST, 4 KEYS to Safety, and others convey a significant message that we need to go back to health and safety basics and that “there is always time to do it right, and DO it safely or not at all”. These principles should govern all our activities at work and at home”, he continued. “We will only succeed when we “want to” apply all these health & safety requirements rather than “need to,” Al-Sabbagh, added.
Bapco boats an excellent record of safety and a prominent status among leading global industrial establishments in vocational safety.
