The Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Program (CPISP) began the first of a series of presentations to secondary school students announcing the application deadline for its 2014 scholarships.
In coordination with the Ministry of Education, the CPISP held a presentation at Khawla Secondary Girls School, which was attended by students from Ministry of Education girls’ schools in the Capital Governorate who met the Program’s application criteria, to brief them on the Program’s application and selection process.
CPISP Head of Financial and Student Affairs Ms. Shatha Ahmed Ali announced that the application submission period for 2014 scholarships will be from 10 to 28 February 2013. She explained that applying for the CPISP’s 2014 scholarships was a two step process that involved submitting an application during the period of 10 – 28 February 2013 next year, and then taking a qualifying English language test that will be administered by the CPISP. (The date and venue of the test will be announced on the CPISP website: www.cpisp.bh)
The Program will then select the top 60 students based on their GPAs and results of the Qualifying English Language test, who will include 40 candidates from Ministry of Education schools, and 20 candidates from private schools. The 60 candidates will then undergo various training courses and programs which will run through the summer and the following academic year, before the final ten scholarship recipients are selected.
To be considered for application for the Program’s 2014 scholarships, students must have Bahraini citizenship, be enrolled in the 11th grade or set to graduate from secondary school in 2014, and have a cumulative GPA of 97% or above for grade 10 and the first semester of grade 11.
Applications can be downloaded from the CPISP website on www.cpisp.bh.
