GCC Foreign Ministers held a joint ministerial meeting with the Moroccan Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation with the participation of GCC Secretary General.
A statement was issued following the meeting which highlighted the various topics that were reviewed between both sides that reflected the deep-rooted relations and cooperation existing between the GCC and Morocco on all levels. The statement included the importance of the visits conducted by the Moroccan Monarch King Mohammed VI to all GCC countries this year that further reinforce and bolstered ties in all areas especially those related to investment and creating a joint strategy. Meanwhile, the meeting also reflected the concordance of points of views related to a variety of regional and international issues of joint interest. Both sides also affirmed their endorsement of all decisions made by the United Nations towards maintaining international peace and stability, and the combating of all types of racial, political, sectarian and tribal disputes. The two sides approved a GCC-Moroccan joint action plan 2012-2017 to promote bilateral cooperation in all fields.
