Bahraini Ambassador to India, Mohammed Ghassan Shaikhu, who met with the Indian Foreign Ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary for the GCC A. R. Ghanshyam, presented him with a copy of the follow-up report detailing the implementation of the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry (BICI) recommendations.
During the meeting, the envoy highlighted the positive developments taking place in the kingdom thanks to the tremendous efforts exerted by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the government, the Representative and Shura councils and the citizens to achieve progress, security and prosperity across the country and consolidate human rights practices under the rule of the law and constitutional institutions.
He also discussed with the Indian official ways of bolstering joint cooperation and issues of mutual concern, including supporting efforts to promote security and stability in the Gulf region.
