His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has issued directives to prepare the Bahrain Health Centre in Khan Younes and make sure that it is ready to provide medical care for civilians wounded in Gaza, tasking the Chairman of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to implement the instructions and get assured on the safety of the affiliates of the Bahrain School in Tal Al-Hawa district.
Following the Royal directives, RCO Secretary-General Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayad met with the Representative of the UNRWA Commissioner-General Peter Ford and was assured on the readiness of the Bahrain health centre in Khan Younes to receive and treat those injured as a result of the brutal Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip.
Peter Ford affirmed that the Bahrain heath centre has not been attacked during the raids and that it is currently playing an essential role in treating patients and alleviating the sufferings of the local inhabitants.
Peter Ford expressed earnest thanks and appreciation to HM the King for his directives, commending the efforts of the Kingdom’s wise leadership, government and people for setting up the health centre in a key area in the Gaza Strip to provide outstanding effective and quality services for patients.
He also said that all affiliates of the Bahrain School are safe and have not been affected by the Israeli strikes, conveying their sincere greetings and appreciation to the Kingdom for establishing such a vital project near their houses to enable them to continue their studies.
Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad extended heartfelt thanks and appreciation to HM the king, RCO’s Honorary President, for his honuourable stances towards the Palestinian people and their just cause and support for humanitarian work, emanating from Islamic precepts and fraternal Bahraini-Palestinian ties.
He also lauded the great support of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, to RCO, praising the Bahraini citizens’ kind contributions in support of the brotherly Palestinian people.
