The BCCI Finance Secretary-cum-Acting CEO, and member of the ILO board of directors, Othman Mohammed Sharif Al-Rayyes, participated in the ILO board meeting in Geneva.
The meeting explored a number of topics on its agenda pertaining to the ILO situation and various topics regarding interrelation between production parties and enhancement of work ergonomics.
Othman Al-Rayyes said that the ILO’s board meeting discussed social dialogue, respecting of ILO member countries as well as necessary modifications to be introduced on local laws, cooperation relations between production parties, methods to combat unemployment in addition to discussion of the reports of the ILO’s secretary general.
Othman Al-Rayyes, representative of the Bahrain Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCCI) won the ILO board of directors’ membership on behalf of the West Asian business delegations when he was nominated and elected for this position during the ILO’s 100th session last year as a for the period 2011-2014.
