Under the patronage of the Commander of the Royal Guards, Colonel Shaikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, a graduation ceremony for the free parachuting course no.1 was held in the Endurance Village, at the Royal Guards Unit with the participation of the British Parachuting Team. The course was held during the period from October 9 to November 1, 2012.
The course was also attended by the Commander of the Royal Guards HH Colonel Shaikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the Commander of the Rapid Intervention Force in the Royal Guards, HH First Lieutenant Shaikh Khalid Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, together with a number of the Royal Guards affiliates, as well as a number of British officers.
That course is a part of the plans and training programmes at the BDF to prepare national cadres provided with the required training and rehabilitation in all weapons, and units of the BDF.
The ceremony started with a show of free parachuting for the graduates of the course, who presented parachuting with high professionalism reflecting the high morale and great efficiency, and then there was a recitation from the Holy Quran. Later, HH the Commander of the Royal Guards delivered a speech expressing his admiration of the efficiency of the graduates.
At the end of the ceremony, HH the Commander of the Royal Guards distributed certificates and honorary awards among the outstanding graduates in the course, and also among trainers.
The ceremony was attended by a number of senior officers of the BDF, where HH Shaikh Nasser congratulated the graduates and wished them success. He also hailed the strong relations bonding Bahrain with UK, pointing out the progress and development of these relations in all areas, particularly in the military cooperation.
