As part of its commitment to transparency and stakeholder engagement, Tamkeen announced the release of its Operational Plan for 2013, which will be available online as of the 12th of November on its official website (www.tamkeen.bh). The plan includes achievements and milestones of the previous year, strategic goals, descriptions of ongoing and planned initiatives and programmes, and budget allocations.
The public will have a chance to send their feedback to Tamkeen regarding the plan prior to the public consultation session to be held later this month with Tamkeen’s various stakeholders to highlight and discuss the plan and feedback received.
Held for the second consecutive year, the pubic consultations will also help enhance the understanding of Tamkeen as an organisation, its vision and mission, objectives and internal processes, as well as gauge the outlook of both stakeholders and the general public.
“Our efforts to discuss and raise awareness of our Operational Plan underline our commitment to remaining closely engaged with all Bahrainis in order to continuously improve our programmes and provide the quality support that meets their needs.”
The 2013 Operational Plan was based on comprehensive studies and research conducted with Tamkeen’s various stakeholders to identify current and anticipated needs of Bahrain’s labour market, as well as the recommendations received from last year’s public consultation sessions. The session will be attended by Tamkeen beneficiaries, service providers, partners, government agencies, and legislative bodies, among others,” Commenting on this announcement, Tamkeen’s Chief Executive Mahmood Hashim Al-Kooheji, said.
The qualitative feedback from the session will be documented, compiled, analysed and incorporated in the 2013 operational plan and future plans and programmes.
