Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) has selected Dubal DX+ technology to be used in the Line 6 bankable feasibility study.
Alba has initiated the Bankable Feasibility Study to determine the viability of the sixth potline expansion project which is expected to add an additional 400,000 metric tonnes per annum to the current capacity of 880,000 metric tonnes.
Dubal has 5 pilot DX+ pots which began operating at 420 kA and currently operate at 440 kA. The DX+ Technology has been licensed for EMAL Phase 2 project where the estimated start-up of the first industrial potline is December 2013. The DX+ Technology is an optimized version of the DX Technology which is used currently at the Dubal and EMAL phase 1 plants.
Since its inception, 4 decades ago, Alba has been a leader in implementing new technologies as part of its continued global expansions.
