His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa was at the forefront of recipients of his brother the Amir of the sisterly State of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jabir Al-Sabah, upon his arrival at the Sakhir Airbase leading his country’s delegation to the 33rd GCC Supreme Council’s Summit meetings scheduled to convene in the Kingdom of Bahrain later on Sunday evening.
Also present during the reception were: His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, the GCC Secretary-general, senior Royal family members, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chairman of the Shura Council, government ministers, Kuwaiti Ambassador in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Bahraini Ambassador in the State of Kuwait, Governor of the Southern Governorate, senior officers from the BDF, the Ministry of Interior and the National Guard and members of the Kuwait Embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
After a brief break at the Grand Protocols Hall in Sakhir Airbase, during which His Majesty the King and His Highness the Amir of the sisterly State of Kuwait exchanged amicable conversations, the motorcade of His Highness left the Airbase to his residence at the Sakhir Palace.
The Protocols Mission was led by Deputy Prime Minister His Highness Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.
His Highness the Amir of the sisterly State of Kuwait was accompanied by an official delegation comprising the following members Shaikh Ahmed Al-Humood Al-Sabah, the first deputy premier and minister of interior; Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, deputy premier and minister of foreign affairs; Mustafa Al-Shimali, deputy premier and minister of finance; Ahmed Fahd Al-Fahd, manager of the office of His Highness the Amir of the State of Kuwait; Sheikh Khalid Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah Al-Nasser Al-Sabah, the chief of Amiri Protocols and Khalid Suleiman Al-Jarallah, undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
