BMI Bank, a Bahrain-based retail and commercial banking institution, is seeking to enhance its market share by introducing unique products and services, according to a top official at the bank.
Bank’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jamal Al-Hazeem, on the sidelines of the opening of the bank’s 9th branch in Tubli, told The 24X7 News that given the fierce competition in retail and commercial banking segment in Bahrain, the banks can only make difference through innovative products and services.
Referring to a very competitive business climate in retail and commercial banking, Al Hazeem reaffirmed BMI’s commitment to be a leader by rolling out the best products and services to serve and enhance its client base.
With zero provisions on the balance sheet, BMI Bank eyes profitability by the year-end as the CEO sees better prospects after offloading all outstanding major provisions.
“In fact some provisions are being paid back which will further help to strengthen bank’s capital base,” Al Hazeem, said with a cautious optimism on profitability towards the year-end.
