Director of the Bahrain News Agency (BNA) Mohanned Suleiman with his Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) counterpart Laure Sleiman Saab, currently on a visit to the kingdom to take part in the 40th General Assembly of the Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA), concluded in Manama on Thursday.
Suleiman affirmed the importance of the joint cooperation agreement to be signed between BNA and NNA next February for the aim of enhancing joint collaboration in all fields and carrying out joint training sessions.
The two sides also discussed ways of bolstering coordination of stances during Arab, regional and international gatherings for the common interests of both countries.
NNA Director said that the importance of the joint cooperation agreement stems from the two sides’ need to exchange news in order to ensure that only real image of what is happening in their countries is projected to the world and upgrade the competence of their editors.
She also hailed the strides of the Bahraini media.
Laure Sleiman Saab presented BNA Director with a commemorative gift in recognition of BNA’s commandable efforts to prepare for and host the 40th FANA’s General Assembly.
