Capital Governor, Shaikh Hesham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, attended, in the presence of the Director-General of the Capital Governorate Police, a function marking the Bahrain Police Day.
The event, held at the Seef Mall, was part of the Interior Ministry’s celebrations of the National Day and the 13th Anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s Accession to the Throne.
Shaikh Hesham was informed about the exhibition in which contributions of the Interior Ministry’s directorates and departments were displayed.
They included the General Directorate of Traffic, the General Directorate of Civil Defence, Coast Guards Directorate, Police Media Directorate, the Police Media Directorate and the Public Relations Directorate which displayed the hi-tech used and modern projects implemented to simplify work mechanisms and enhance the effectiveness of the services they provide for the citizens and expatriates.
The Capital Governor commended the tremendous efforts exerted by Bahraini police officers to maintain order, reinforce the law and promotes security and stability nationwide, adding that Bahrain Police strides have been attained thanks to the sound directives of the Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa.
The function also included a documentary on the role played by the Ministry’s directorates and departments to combat crime and serve the citizens, musical show by the Police Musical band, folk shows and entertaining competitions for the public.
The function will run until December 16th, and will be open to the public from 16; 00 to 21:00 every day.
In the same regard, the Interior Ministry organised at Hunainiya area a military parade in which the Royal Academy of Police, the Cavalry Division and the Police Music Band participated.
The parade met the satisfaction of the audience.
