His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Al-Sakhir Airbase the UAE Vice-President, Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum who arrived here today to head his country’s delegation to the 33rd Summit of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), started in Bahrain later on Monday.
His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, senior Ruling Family members, Speaker of the Representatives Council, Chairman of the Shura Council, Secretary-General of the GCC Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, ministers, the UAE Ambassador to Bahrain, Southern Governor, Senior officers of the Bahrain Defence Force, Interior Ministry and the National Guard and the UAE Embassy’s staff were also present.
HM the King and Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid exchanged, at the Grand Royal Protocol Hall at the base, cordial talks on the outstanding brotherly Bahraini-UAE relations.
Then, Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid left to his residence at the Sakhir Palace.
A Convoy of Honour, chaired by the Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, will accompany Shaikh Mohammed the UAE Vice-President during his stay in the kingdom.
The official delegation accompanying Shaikh Mohammed to the Manama Summit includes Interior Minister and Deputy Premier Lt-General Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al-Nahyan; Foreign Minister Shaikh Abdulla bin Zayed Al-Nahyan; Minister of State for Financial Affairs Obaid Humaid Al Tayer; Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Anwar Mohammed Qarqash; Minister of State Reem Al-Hashimi; Director of Dubai Ruler’s Office and Director-General of Protocols Khalifa Said Sulaiman.
