His Royal Highness, Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, has called for the need to go ahead with procedures aiming at increasing productivity in the public sector, reduce costs, avoid duplicated efforts, spread indicators that measure the public’s opinion towards government services and adopt mechanisms that ensure that the citizens’ complaints reach ministries and be solved appropriately.
Reviewing the administrative procedures to enhance productivity in Ministries, especially the services ones which are related to the citizens, HRH stressed that efforts to instill the values of excellence improve productivity and spread competitiveness labs should continue in order to promote the culture of excellence in government bodies’ work and performance.
This came as HRH Prime Minister received here today the report issued by the Jury of the Annual Arbitration, organised by the Bahrain Centre for Excellence.
In this regard, Minister of State for Defence Affairs Lieutenant-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and Minister of State for Follow-up Affairs Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Mutawa briefed HRH Premier on the findings of the Jury for this year following the assessment of the achievements of 33 ministries and government departments.
The report included the Jury’s proposals to enhance competitiveness at government bodies, spread competitiveness labs and adopt mechanisms to measure the dealers’ opinions.
HRH Prime Minister was also informed about the work plan of the Bahrain Centre for Excellence for 2013.
