Minister of Labour, and Chairman of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority, Jameel Bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, held talks with Michael Posner Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor
During the meeting, both sides discussed areas of cooperation and coordination in a number of issues, including the labour, as well as a number of issues of common interest, reflecting the development of the existing friendly relations between the two countries.
Minister of Labour briefed Posner on Bahrain’s efforts in addressing the negative impacts resulted from the tragic events witnessed by Bahrain during the months of February, and March last year, and their effects on the Labour Market, particularly concerning addressing and ending any left issues in the file of dismissed resulting from the events.
Minister of Labour stressed that the Ministry is continuing to take positive initiatives on the level of protecting labour rights and achievements, modernizing and developing its experiences in a way to ensure its active contribution in the development march of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Humaidan highlighted the depth of the good historical relations bonding the two countries, and the progress and growth resulting from the joint cooperation, pointing out the importance of those meetings in reinforcing the bilateral relations in general and developing the cooperation’s mechanisms in all human development areas in particular.
At the end of the meeting, both sides asserted the continuity of such relations that aim at strengthening the technical cooperation between the two countries and benefit from the successful experiences and labour programmes in each country.
