His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa was in the forefront receiving the Deputy Premier of Omani Cabinet Affairs, Fahd Bin Humoud Al Saieed on behalf of HM Sultan Qaboos Bin Saieed, Sultan of Oman to participate in the Thirty-third Summit of the GCC’s Supreme Council, on his arrival at Sakhir Air Base today to chair Sultanate of Oman’s delegation.
The Omani Deputy Premier was also received by His Royal Highness the Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, senior members of the Royal Family, the Chairmen of the Shura and Representatives Councils, GCC Secretary General, the ministers. He was also received by the Omani Ambassador to Bahrain, Bahrain’s Ambassador to Oman, the Governor of the Southern Governorate, senior officers of the BDF and Ministry of Interior, the National Guard, and the members of the Omani Embassy in Bahrain.
After a short break in the ceremonies’ Great Hall of at Sakhir Air Base, HM the King exchanged friendly talks with Fahd Bin Humoud Al Saieed concerning the strong relations between the two countries, and then he left for his residence in Sakhir Palace.
The honourary mission was formed under the chairmanship of the Deputy Premier, Shaikh Khalid Bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.
Upon his arrival, the Deputy Premier of Omani Cabinet Affairs stated, “It’s my great honor to participate with the accompanying delegation on behalf of HM Sultan Qaboos Bin Saieed in the Thirty-Third Summit for the GCC states leaders held in Manama, Bahrain, and to convey HM’s wishes that the conference achieves more growth and progress for the region.”
He also said that the GCC march has gained a lot of economic and social achievements which led to the integration between the people of the GCC states, but on the other hand, the recurrence of developments on the regional and international arenas made it an obligation to have concerted efforts to address those developments and accelerate performance and activate mechanisms for joint action. Ha also called on the Council to strengthen its relations with the international blocs through revitalizing the trade, scientific and cultural exchange with them, aiming at achieving positive results for the interest of all sides.
The Omani Deputy Premier said that the Gulf nations are one by history, civilization and are aspiring to attain their desires to actively participate in the construction and development process, aiming at having communities where there is stability and welfare.
He also highlighted that The Sultanate of Oman reaffirms its full support to the Council and its march, and its sustainable march to make all exerted efforts successful, expressing with all pride on its appreciation for the Kingdom of Bahrain under the leadership of HM King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, asking God to bless Bahrain and its people with more progress.
The official delegation accompanying the Omani Deputy Premier is Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Bin Alawi Bin Abdullah; Minister of Commerce and Industry, Ali Bin Masoud Al Sinaidi and Minister of Legal Affairs, Dr. Abdullah Bin Mohammed Bin Saieed Al-Saieedi.
