The Kingdom of Bahrain on Thursday joined the Islamic Nation in celebrating the Prophet’s birthday (PBUH).
The directorate of Religious Affairs, an offshoot of the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, hosted an annual ceremony in this regard.
Supreme Islamic Council Chairman Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al-Khalifa patronized the event yesterday at Ahmed Al-Fateh Islamic Centre.
Addressing the ceremony, he stressed the crucial signifance of the Prophet’s birth (PBUH) as defining turning point for the whole humanity.
He pointed out the need for all Muslims all over the world to return to the authentic Islamic principles and values of peace, security, tolerance and coexistence.
He deplored the tragic and heart-rending loss of lives and atrocious bloodshed devastating the Islamic World in particular.
Dr. Murad Al-Janabi and Shaikh Mohsin Al-Asfoor also addressed the annual ceremony which was held at Al-Fateh Islamic Centre.
