Bahrain Polytechnic issued a statement in reply to what has been published in many local newspapers today regarding the recommendations of the parliamentary Financial and Economic Affairs Committee concerning irregularities included in the National Financial and Administrative Audit Court report.
The committee demanded to refer non-abiding government sides to the Public Prosecution, including Bahrain Polytechnic.
Bahrain Polytechnic’s executive administration said it has keenly followed the recommendations issued in this regard and would like to take advantage of this opportunity to thank the MPs for their great interest and keenness to protect public money.
It also added that it would like to inform the public opinion that it conducted a thorough study of the recommendations and carried them out as soon as it had received the report, in line with the cabinet’s decisions in this respect.
As a matter of fact, a probe panel was set up to look into the irregularities while keeping in touch with relevant parties in Bahrain to take all legal measures in this regard, it revealed, stressing that Bahrain Polytechnic has gone a long way in rectifying the situation and implementing the recommendations under the supervision of a board of trustees which was formed as per royal decree number 23 for 2012.
Accordingly, the board of trustees periodically updates the Education Minister, who is in charge of controlling and monitoring Bahrain Polytechnic, on progress in the rectification process.
