Bahrain Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Shaikh Humood bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa announced the move following directives from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa.
HM the King has also granted a land plot to construct the planned Arab Bourse headquarters in support of the key project and in recognition of the founders’ efforts.
Shaikh Humood unveiled the royal initiative as he addressed the Arab Private Sector Forum, which opened on Saturday in Riyadh.
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal is patronizing the pan-Arab event, in the presence of heads of trade, industry and agricultural chambers, Saudi and Arab businessmen.
Shaikh Humood conveyed greetings from HM King Hamad to the founders of the Arab bourse led by Safar bin Ayedh Al-Harthi.
He stressed Bahrain’s keenness on promoting Arab economic complementarities, streamlining the flow of Arab and international capitals and investments and attracting overseas capitals to spearhead development projects in the Arab World.
