Volunteers from the Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO) and the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) in the inJAz Bahrain Programme presented a series of lectures on social corporate responsibility (CSR) as part of the activities of one of inJAz Bahrain courses conducted at the University of Bahrain (UOB).
The course was held under the title of “Business Ethics”, during which the volunteers explained the role of companies and organizations in emphasizing CSR concept toward serving the community institutions. Additionally, the lecture has shed light on CSR concept within Bapco’s mission to serve the community. The volunteers emphasized the importance of such activities in supporting the social development and aspired welfare of the entire community.
Examples of Bapco’s mission in supporting CSR were explained during the course. Upon the conclusion of th
e lecture, the volunteers replied to the various question and inquiries of trainees, and the participants thanked them for their active role and vast experience and knowledge.
The course on “Business Ethics” aims to foster the ethical decision-making in youth as they prepare to be the workforce and take active roles in the global marketplace. The course also aims to prepare these trainees to recognize, analyze and apply basic terminology, theories and concepts to the study of ethics in different institutions.
