Minister of State for Information Affairs, the Official Spokesperson of the Government, Sameera Rajab said that the crisis can’t go on forever, reinforcing that the dialogue is coming and the file is now in the hands of the Minister of Justice, who has already started his communications, expecting it to be held this year 2013.
In her statement to a Saudi Newspaper “Al-Yaum,” published on Monday, the minister said that the suggested dialogue was what previously announced by His Majesty the King, and it was also the same dialogue proposed by HRH the Crown Prince in “Manama Dialogue” despite the fact that opposition forces tried to promote the invitation of HRH the Crown Prince by false means serving their agenda.
The minister recalled the call for dialogue raised on the third day of the crisis and its file was with HRH the Crown Prince, but the opposition at the time did not accept that invitation and rejected it, which forced the state to end the unfortunate events and put an end to them, for those events aimed at catching fish in troubled waters.
The minister also highlighted that His Majesty the King and immediately after the end of the mishaps, called for the national dialogue, where about 300 representatives of the people of Bahrain met in five main themes along four weeks in July 2011, and one of its outcomes were the withdrawal of the opposition from the dialogue, and the most important achievements were the constitutional amendment. Such amendment provided the Council of Representatives full powers with the participation of the Council to appoint the next government, on condition that such appointment should be with the consent of the Council of Representatives.
The minister pointed out that even though the dialogue ended, but the crisis did not. However, His Majesty the King kept announcing that the door for dialogue was still open, and that there is a desire to end the crisis through dialogue, which is the principle agreed upon by all, and that will be implemented by the state, including the political authority and the government.
The minister added that such dialogue was the same call submitted by HRH the Crown Prince, when HRH stressed the need that all sit together for dialogue, and the call is still open, expressing her aspirations that everyone will be included.
The minister said that concerning the Gulf Union issue, Kingdom of Bahrain is fully supporting the Union, stressing that if they wanted to protect the region, they simply have to go for the Union, particularly against what is related to the international and regional intervention, wishing that the GCC Summit will be held soon to resolve such important issue.
The Minister said that the union is coming even with a less number of states, and that what happened with the European Union as well as with other places, calling on elevating the Gulf Media Speech, and changing the Gulf Media concepts to have a real media that is able to defend the region and ensures its education, health, welfare, wealth and future.
