His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Sakhir Palace, the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, SCW members and the Secretary-General of the Council’s executive board.
Her Royal Highness presented His Majesty the King with the National Plan for Bahraini Women Development Strategy for 2013-2022 which includes the Council’s visions for the progress of Bahraini Women and their contribution to the stability of the Kingdom’s security and prosperity.
She briefly reviewed the steps undertaken by the Supreme Council in building the national plan pointing out future orientation based on building alliances, so as to merge women’s needs with the country’s progress march through partnership for a sustainable competitive society.
His Majesty the King praised the SCW’s tremendous efforts that utilize scientific approaches that seek to achieve equal partnership, between the segments of Bahraini society to guarantee balancing duties, and responsibilities.
He also affirmed that Bahrain’s ministries and institutions are working on clear strategies and visions towards achieving the best interests of the people of Bahrain.
He added that the results of the Council’s work assert the responsibility upon Bahraini women led by Her Royal Highness to guarantee their equal partnership in the society’s development.
His Majesty the King directed all authorities concerned to provide the SCW with the support, cooperation and coordination necessary to implement its national plan, by establishing the requisite developmental mechanisms, and programs.
Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka, expressed appreciation to HM the King for his continued interest and support for the SCW which is reflected in Bahraini women’s success and achievements under the national reform and modernization project.
She affirmed that the Supreme Council has made big strides after His Majesty accredited the Council’s draft to establish the National Plan for Bahraini Women’s Development Strategy in 200 adding that the Council is approaching a new phase that requires further cooperation and coordination with all ministries and institutions to achieve its desired goals.
