Two ladies were burnt to death early on Saturday as a result of a fire broke out in a house in Isa Town, in the Central Governorate, the Acting Director General of the Civil Defence Directorate in a statement, said.
The Civil Defence teams rushed to the scene immediately after notification at 5:44 a.m. They started evacuating the house and putting out the fire, which erupted on the ground floor, to prevent it from spreading to the other rooms and nearby homes.
However, while fighting the fire, the bodies of the two women were discovered.
The Public Prosecution was notified and investigations are underway to identify the causes of the fire, the Acting Director General pointed out, calling on people in Bahrain to consider safety measures and provide fire extinguishers at homes to use them in case of emergency and prevent such regrettable incidents.
