The Public Prosecution investigated the case revealing that the deceased was admitted on the 9th of January 2013 suffering from cirrhosis of the lung and the difficulty breathing.
The coroner was requested to conduct an autopsy that revealed that the deceased suffered from a chronic medical condition in the lung and that she was admitted to hospital on 9 January 2013 to be treated from that condition.
However, her condition got worse four days after being admitted and her temperature increased as a result of a bacterial infection. The coroner in his report also indicated the hospital’s medical report did not state that the reason for admission to hospital was due to the inhaling of tear gas.
