The Health Ministry confirmed that the deceased Mahmood Isa Mohammed Abd Ali was admitted to Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) on February 15. He was suffering from dizziness and a wound in his head after reportedly falling in the bathroom, according to his family. It has also been found out that the deceased was suffering from the sickle cell disease.
The Health Ministry added that contrary to claims by his family that Mahmood Isa Mohammed Abd Ali had received medical treatment at Sitra Health Centre a day before taking him to SMC; investigations have shown that he had not turn up at any of the public health centres or hospitals.
Examinations and X-rays have shown that the deceased had a head wound and the stitches were not properly and professionally done by a specialised doctor. There was also a fracture in the left side of his skull which caused a head hemorrhage.
The deceased was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit where he passed away on February 22 at 4.50 am.
