Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) condemned attempts in some regions to destabilise the country and disrupt citizens’ interests by calling for illegal sit-ins and a civil disobedience which unfortunately caused human and material losses.
The BCCI said that such an unjustified escalation at this particular time when the country is trying to get out of the crisis by resuming the National Consensus Dialogue doesn’t serve the goals of the dialogue and only results in the exacerbation of the situation.
It also affirmed that continuous incitement of violence, which largely spread via social networking systems, will have negative repercussions on civic peace and national work, in general, and economic development, in particular.
“Bahrain, as His Majesty the King asserted, is going ahead in its reform and development march,” it added, urging national unity and adherence to the Bahraini authentic Arab values and the one-family spirit.
The chamber also lauded the efforts of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and his personal follow-up of all developments.
It also reiterated the business community’s loyalty and support to the leadership in all measures taken to preserve security and stability and protect hard-won achievements.
