Labor Ministry Undersecretary, Sabah Al-Dossary, announced that the 10th Job Market Show due to be launched this morning will provide 2400 new job opportunities for jobseekers, pointing out that the total number of vacant jobs available on the Vacancies Bank reached 9100 jobs last year 2012.
Al-Dossary said that the Career Expo will provide circa 1200 job opportunities for job seekers who joined job training programs or are in the Ministry’s job lists who will be able to benefit from these programs which impart information technology and awards them professional certification.
He said that 223 companies will offer new job opportunities during the Jobs Show organized this morning at the Hamad Town Secondary Girls’ School and continues until Thursday 7th February 2013 and covers insurance, banking, sales and retail trade which is the promising sector which offers highest rate of jobs. He also pointed out that the National Industrial Training Institute will offer 185 training programs on the peripheries of the Job Market Show.
And regarding the requisite academic qualifications for the jobs on offer, the Labor Ministry’s Undersecretary stated that most of them target secondary school graduates followed by university graduates (diploma/bachelor degrees) and that most jobs are suitable for females who constitute 75% of job seekers, asserting that the new Labor Law has granted women lots of benefits.
