Proving its strong safety standards and safety first culture, Bapco employees and contractors have achieved another milestone in vocational safety by completing a total of one million employee-hours without a Lost Time Injury (LTI) on Thursday 31 January 2013.
“This accomplishment brings Bapco closer to its next target of three million employee-hours without LTI which is due in the first week of April 2013,” Bapco Deputy Chief Executive Refining and Marketing, Chairman of Environment, Health and Safety EHS Committee, Ebrahim Talib, said.
Bapco Management is thankful to the dedicated efforts exerted by all Bapco and Contractors’ employees in promoting safety throughout the Company,” he added.
Bapco’s Acting Chief Executive, Chairman of the Board of Directors Adel Khalil Al-Moayyed affirmed Bapco’s commitment in recognizing the sincere efforts of employees and contractors in fostering the culture of safety at all workplaces of the company. “We urge everyone in Bapco to remain alert and follow safe work procedures and practices and to continue to strive for safety excellence,” Al-Moayyed added.
