His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa visited Shaikh Salman bin Ahmed Al Fateh Fort in Riffa, accompanied by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander.
The leaders were received by the Minister of Culture Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa and other culture and national heritage officials.
HM the King saw the e-Royal Family’s Tree, which integrates cutting edge technology, showcasing all the names of the Royal Family members.
HM the King toured Shaikh Salman bin Ahmed Al Fateh’s hall, which depicts the history of the Fort as well as its architectural development over years.
HM looked at the poems written by royal family’s poets, those were displayed on the fort’s museum’s walls, in addition to the royal family’s Collectibles section, which contains historic Bahraini swords, jewellery, daggers and hunting tools, as well as authentic Arabian horses hall which represents the efforts to protect them.
HM the King expressed his pleasure at seeing such historic Collectibles, in which modern technologies were used, describing the museum as an important reference for scholars and researchers of old and modern history of Bahrain.
HM the King expressed thanks and appreciation to the ministry of culture for its efforts in preserving and documenting the Kingdom of Bahrain’s history and heritage, in a way that reflects the authenticity, generosity, awareness and culture of the people of Bahrain.
He also commended the ministry’s efforts in preserving Bahrain’s heritage and civilization through the initiative, and wished officials every success in serving the nation and citizens.
