A sixteen year old boy pronounced dead when brought for first aid at the emergency of a major hospital on Thursday morning, according to a report.
“This morning around 0700, an individual male aged 16 was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Salmaniya Medical Complex. The cause of death is as of yet unknown. The case has been referred to the Public Prosecution and a thorough investigation is being conducted into the incident. We offer our condolences to the family,” a statement issued by the Information Affairs Authority (IAA) stated.
“We encourage people to remain calm and not spread unfounded rumors until more information becomes known,” it added.
“We reiterate the call of Major General Tariq Al Hassan, Chief of Public Security, upon parents to supervise the whereabouts of their children at all times in order to ensure their safety. We urge parents to keep their children at school and go about their daily routine.”
