The first session of the National Consensus Dialogue is set to start at Al Areen Resort with the participation of at least 30 delegates both from the Government and political parties.
The Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al-Khalifa during a visit to the venue of the national dialogue and the media centre at Al-Areen Resort, got briefing on the arrangements.
The Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al-Khalifa said that the sessions would tackle pending political issues, building on previous consensual results which reflected wide-ranging popular will.
“The lofty aim of the dialogue is to promote vital national interests and protect the stability of Bahrain and citizens”, he said, described the multi-party dialogue as an opportunity for all sides to contribute to the march of reform and development.
The Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al-Khalifa hailed the participation of all parties as a guarantor to reflect popular will in the dialogue results.
He urged “sincere dialogue and sincere intentions” to achieve more political gains for all parties.
The Minister of State for Information Affairs Samira Ibrahim bin Rajab was also present during the briefing given by the National Consensus Dialogue Official Spokesman and Head of the Media Centre Isa Abdulrahman, who highlighted the salient features of the event.
The ministers were updated on technical and logistic preparations for national dialogue -scheduled to on Feb10th to achieve common grounds that cement national unity and embody genuine Bahraini values.
National Consensus Dialogue Official Spokesman and Head of the Media Centre Isa Abdulrahman stressed keenness on creating favourable conditions for the national dialogue to tackle pending political issues and build bridges of confidence between all political forces for the sake of Bahrain and citizens.
He underscored the importance of joining ranks and stepping up sincere efforts to overcome challenges and ensure more reform and democratic achievements for Bahrain’s bright future.
