Minister of State for Information Affairs, Samira Ibrahim Bin Rajab met with Shura Council member, Munira Isa Bin Hindi, and the Director General of “Shiraiba” for media services, technical production and distribution, who presented a copy of the film “Munira defies Disability,” which was granted the Best Media Production Award from Arab Women Organization in Egypt in 2012. This was in the presence of the collaborating working team from Information Affairs Authority, who participated in the preparation of the film.
At the beginning of the meeting, Minister of Information Affairs praised the sincere efforts in the preparation of the documentary film, which dealt with disabilities and their role in the areas of development and their contribution in the various phases of life, as they are considered productive individuals in society. The minister also stressed her happiness that Kingdom of Bahrain attaches a particular importance to this category, out of its policy, which aims at supporting and encouraging it, and create the best ways and potentials before them, highlighting the pioneering role of the Shura member, Munira Bin Hindi in encouraging the disabled to integrate into society.
The minister also commended the working team who participated in the preparation of the film, particularly photography, directing, and montage which was characterized with efficiency and creativity, wishing all of them success in their future works.
The visitors expressed their thanks and appreciation for the minister for the warm reception, praising her prominent role in the development and progress of the role of media in the Kingdom of Bahrain in the light of the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa.
It is worth mentioning that the collaborating working team from the Information Affairs Authority in the preparation of that film included Director, Mariam Khalil Al-Thawadi, Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Munther Al Khan, Yehiya Al-Qallaf and Mohammad Omran.
