With the greater participation of the political societies and independent voices in the national consensus dialogue, Bahrain is aiming to strengthen national cohesion through dialogue.
“Bahrain unites all to continue the political process. In promoting the concept of dialogue to express the differing views and opinions of representatives of the political societies, a number of Shura Council and the Chamber of Representatives, the Leadership is confident of achieving yet further national consensuses for the benefit of all,” Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, Minister of Justice and Islamic Affairs, said.
The Minister added that the Dialogue was in place for the entire nation of Bahrain and its citizens and expressed his confidence of a successful outcome, leading to further joint political consensus that will forward the development process and reinforce national achievements.
The first session of the National Consensus Dialogue is being held as part of a royal directive attended by major political parties and independents, from all sections of Bahraini society with an aim of continuing dialogue on the political theme as well as furthering the understanding on the previous achievements.
At the commencement of the session, the Justice and Islamic Affairs Minister conveyed greetings from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Leadership to all participants of the Dialogue; their sincere wishes were offered for the successful outcome of the Dialogue in the best interests of the Country.
The Justice Minister expressed gratitude for the participation of all groups, including members of political societies, legislative authorities and independents, who have come together to take part in the Dialogue.
He reaffirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain remained committed on development and growth with the aim of reinforcing the state of organisations and the laws based on citizenship principles.
Notably, with input from all participants, the first sessions will be dedicated to setting the agenda and its points.
