His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa delegated his son Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to attend his Horseracing Cups, organised by the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club at Al-Sakhir under HRH Crown Prince’s patronage.
Shaikh Isa was welcomed by the event’s organizers and Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club’s senior officials.
He was informed about a photo gallery and then watched the races, attended by a number of officials, guests, diplomatic corps and equestrian and horseracing fans.
HRH Crown Prince’s son Shaikh Isa crowned the winners and congratulated them on their outstanding performance.
He also lauded the excellent organization of the races, commended the efforts of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club to promote the equestrian and horseracing across the kingdom.
The winners were in the 1600-metre HRH Crown Prince’s Cup for Arabian Horses, which carries a prize of BD 5000, Saqlawi was the winner, Obeyaan was second and Al Hamdani was third.
Concerning the 1800-metre Bahrain Oaks race, carrying a cash prize of BD 3800 the winners were, respectively, Lady Gaga, Ice Mold Cat, Dhawq and Anqoodia.
Regarding the 2000-metre Bahrain Silver Cup for Imported Horses Race, carrying cash prize of BD 7600 Unex El Greco, Azizi, Kipax and William Blake clinched the first four prizes.
Culklulited Strike, Brakoda, Blue’s Bass Billy and Hashaar were the winners of 2000-metre race for locally-bred horses, carrying a cash prize of BD 9000.
