Deputy Premier Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa met with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE) Abdulmajeed Al-Gassab and discussed with him the on-going preparations for BSE’s “40 Years of Giving” ceremony, due to be held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on May 8th, 2013.
The ceremony’s programme, organisational issues and guests were also spotlighted during the meeting, attended by BSE’s former chairmen and members of the event’s organizing committee.
The Deputy Premier lauded BSE’s dedication and giving since its establishment, praising its crucial role in supporting the kingdom’s development march and efforts to develop the engineering profession, take care of engineers’ interests and upgrade their level.
He affirmed the keen desire of the government, chaired by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, to extend bridges of cooperation with professional and associations and civil society institutions in order to push development efforts further for the benefits of the citizens.
Eng. Abdulmajeed Al-Gassab extended sincere thanks, appreciation and gratitude to HM the King for patronising BSE’s 40th anniversary ceremony and for HRH Premier and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, for their constant support for all national institutions that are dedicated in the service of the homeland.
He also thanked Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa for his constant interest in societies, and support for the engineering sector.
Al-Gassab offered the Deputy Premier the first copy of the “40 Years of Giving” book, to be launched during the ceremony in recognition of his efforts as one of the founders of BSE.
