Bahrain News Agency (BNA) and Indian News Agency (PTI) signed a cooperation agreement in the area of exchanging news services between the two agencies.
The agreement was signed by Director of (BNA) Muhannad Suleiman from the Bahraini side, and from the Indian side by Editor-in-Chief and CEO of (PTI) MK Razdan in the presence of the delegations of the two agencies.
“The news cooperation agreement with (PTI) constitutes an addition to the media cooperation between Kingdom of Bahrain and Republic of India. It also will transmit the Voice of Bahrain to the various parts of the world, with various international languages to highlight Bahrain achievements in various economic, political and social fields, accomplished in the light of the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa,” BNA Director, Director of (BNA) said.
“Signing the agreement is based on the friendship relations between the two countries, and thanks to the role of the two agencies (BNA) and (PTI) in highlighting such strong and historical relations bonding the two countries and their friendly peoples,” he added.
Muhannad Suleiman also said that the agreement includes exchanging transmitting news of the two countries of not more than ten stories daily, with the accredited languages of the two countries, in addition to reinforcing cooperation in the area of press training, exchanging pictures and providing press coverage.
Muhannad Suleiman praised the strength and depth of the rooted, distinctive and historical relations bonding Bahrain with India, expressing his appreciation of the role of (PTI) in disclosing facts and supporting what the Kingdom witnesses of progress in all various areas and levels.
Both sides also exchanged friendly talks and issues of common interests, as well as ways to develop the bilateral rooted media relations between the two friendly countries.
MK Razdan, the Editor-in-Chief and CEO of (PTI) stressed the Indian news agency’s keenness in the bilateral relations with Kingdom of Bahrain and sustaining their development in the media areas. He reinforced that the agreement would open media cooperation areas and develops the joint news action between the two countries. He also welcomed visiting Bahrain during the next months to discuss increasing cooperation areas between the two agencies.
